Wichita Kansas is having a rough couple of weeks.
I just wrote about Ascension Healthcare a Wichita based hospital system being crippled by a cyber attack and now the city government has turned off its computer systems do to ransomware discovered Saturday.
Police and Fire departments have rolled to continuity measures and are still responding according to local news.
Water systems are safe and unaffected, again according to local news although I hesitate to hang my hat on that bit of information until we see how what further information emerges over the coming days.
These attacks WILL NOT stop, they will not slow down. I know its uncomfortable, I know its not what anyone wants to be worried about or focused on, but the threat is real. These criminals and state actors are not concerned about whether or not YOU are ready and comfortable. They are targeting everyone and everything in a desperate attempt to smash and grab as much critical information and financial reward as possible.
Harden the target, stay vigilant!
