October is Cyber Security Awareness Month!
I know it seems cliché, but I am a huge proponent of intelligent, engaging Security Awareness. In deference to this passion I am going to be publishing tons of interesting and helpful content this month as well as a new installment of my interview/podcast series.

Returning to our interest in scams targeting our senior citizens this article by Brian Krebs is another disturbing example of the insidious nature of todays criminal enterprise.
The scam involves a violent Mexican drug cartel known as Jalisco New Generation utilizing a call center phishing operation to trick vulnerable timeshare owners into wire and bank fraud under the guise of buying their contracts. The story details a Canadian couples $50,000 loss and the lengths to which these criminals will go to victimize their targets.
