I am honestly so excited to be writing this on Monday morning!
CDK Global has reportedly restored services to its massive dealer software network nationwide following a cyber attack 2 weeks ago that brought operations to a stand still.
I can confirm that the restorations began as early as Wednesday July 3rd after speaker to dealers in the local area. Their system access began to come back online early in the day and they were 100% functional by COB.
I write quite a bit about risks, outages, breaches and the hardship they bring. I wanted to specifically take the time this morning to applaud the team at CDK Global for getting their systems restored (which means they had backups and a plan) and taking care of their clients.
