Who are we up against? Who is really targeting us? We just own a small business....are we really a target?
This alert from FBI Cyber makes is painfully clear WHO at least in part we are up against. Foreign Governments have historically openly supported and sponsored cyber attacks against US businesses and infrastructure agencies. This particular notice highlight the North Korean threat which is notable, but I would like to iterate this is by no means unique or rare. Russia, China, and Iran are consistently caught supporting and initiating cyber attacks against adversaries in the west.
Small reminder, you are a target because you are running a business in the West, period.
