Kettering Health has been attacked.
The Ohio hospital system has indicated that 14 locations are effected and inpatient and outpatient services had to be canceled in the immediate aftermath.
Kettering is not the first hospital system in the country or even the region to be crippled by a ransomware attack. Each year when reporting is consolidated the volume of attacks nearly doubles.
The question for private practice owners when seeing stories like this should be are we protected? If a large hospital system like Kettering can be targeted and successfully infected then are we prepared?
